My First D-SLR !!!
Just ordered my first Digital SLR - a long awaited, tempted, ogled, starved for Nikon D70 !!!
Being in California, with people at the street fairs, the sunny weather and occasional scenic drives, I couldn’t anymore afford to be crippled by a much computer-unfriendly film workflow. I still would love to work with slide film and B&W, the reason I am keeping my faithful FM3a till my death bed. But everyday photos and the spirit of sharing can’t anymore wait to be digitized. It took me long enough to afford the D70 when it is already outdated by the two newer models, but who cares. It is one of the best cameras of my time and I just cant wait for the shipment to come.
Long live Nikon.

Be sure to check out, if you havent already, Salinas, Monetery, Carmel, etc. while you are at SF, just the right place for a motorcycle dude

I have the N70. I have been using it for about 7 years now and it is a great camera. I recently looked at the cost of a D70 versus an N70 and was shocked that the price is about double. Thank you very much but I prefer film over digital, even if I have to wait a day to get my negatives back! I am sure you will take a lot of good shots, here are is what my N70 can do:
Cactus & Lace
Ladybug Cluster
Red Rock Bar

If you go to San Francisco and take photos with Golden Gate, please put them online.
Thank you,
