Some history

I grew up in Santiniketan, a small town near Kolkata, India. My primary education took place in Rabindranath Tagore’s Patha Bhavana, a one-of-its-kind open-air school which made a profound impact in my life. From an early age I developed a passion to design and create things as a hobby, be it electronics or cardboard models or visual art. At 15, I got my first computer – a 40Mhz 80386 with 4MB RAM, and got thrust into the world of programming. The fascination with computing devices eventually got me a graduate degree in computer science. To this day, my CS background motivates me to develop solutions for real world problems.

Inspiration and Interests

I am driven by productivity and the idea of living life to the fullest. A routine life scares me, and TV is the gadget I hate the most and have disowned for a long time. My focus is to use time very wisely doing rewarding activities and accumulating experiences, while influencing others to do the same. I get my inspiration from the works of great engineers, photographers, and adventurers in general. Outside work, I enjoy hang gliding, photography, motorcycle touring, and woodworking.
