Motorcycle diary of Joy Dutta

and yeah, my first interview through AOL instant messenger instead of a telephonic one, the thought of which has dreaded me ever since.

i was as relaxed as i am everyday, just because i use the messengers (Yahoo and AOL) everyday as my only method of real-time communication with people. out of curiousity i just ran a quick check on the gaim logs on my machine since i started archiving, and it came out to around 10MB, with more than 10,000 LoC …errrr… lines of chat

the interview went well, never aroused the slightest sense of worry. i already have the topcoder summer internship offer, that too working from home, and that means riding my bike anytime and not wasting the apt rent. Google means relocating to CA and away from my bike, so someway it didnt turn me on much, and added to that was the bitter frustration of failing my road test and missing a wonderful 1000 mile weekend ride to washington DC.

well things happen beyond the insignificant human plans. surprisingly, i am quite happy now. as soon as the interview was over, i found out that my hometown school senior who is also a student of both my parents lives 10 miles from me, and he is free now, immediately assuring me of a ride and a very much anticipated bengali “adda” (chat). cant wait now, maybe some rasgullas are waiting there for me too ;)… missing those amazing bengali fish and sweet dishes all of a sudden now.

need to ride and time to get over the bitterness.
